These plates are made to order to your colour choice and quantities.
The ideal size for a scrummy slice of cake or naughty treat with your cuppa. Each of these handmade side plates have been thrown on the wheel, a foot ring is trimmed at the base once they have dried a little.
The edge has been brushed with wax to resist the glaze when dipped. This gives a lovely natural feel to the plates and gives any table a bit of added rustic charm. The underneath of the plates is glazed the same as the top, the foot ring is unglazed. This means the plates stack nicely together when used in a set.
My pottery is fired in a gas kiln at the end of our garden. This brings out the natural iron speckle in these side plates, the effect is much more pronounced than with an electric firing.
I ship worldwide and have recently sends pots to Australia, the US and Europe.

Please don't order from me if you are expecting the exact finish shown on these examples or a pristine finish like you would get from factory made pottery.
Due to the handmade process the shapes of items, glaze and finish will look different to the example images. I fire my work in a gas reduction kiln, this is what gives the rustic character but can be quite unpredictable. The speckle may vary around the pot and glaze can be substantially darker or lighter than shown. There may be colour or surface variations around the piece and there may be marks from making.
I do however only send items out that I would be happy to use myself, I often remake items before sending if I'm not happy with the finish.
