Big enough for even the mightiest breakfast. If cereal is your way to start the day, these rustic hand made bowls could be just for you. The size makes them a good all rounder for soups, puddings or snacks. These bowls are made to order specially for you.
Each one is thrown on the potters wheel from speckled stoneware clay. The bowls are dipped in a rustic white glaze which shows the flecks of iron in the clay as black dots. The rims of theses bowls are waxed before glazing. This gives a lovely contrast of the dark bare clay to smooth white glaze.
The shape of these bowls makes them really easy to stack away neatly. As with all my pottery they can be put in the dishwasher after use. The example bowls show how the glazes look, the colours vary a little each time. Free free to mix and match your colours for a funky set!

Please don't order from me if you are expecting the exact finish shown on these examples or a pristine finish like you would get from factory made pottery.
Due to the handmade process the shapes of items, glaze and finish will look different to the example images. I fire my work in a gas reduction kiln, this is what gives the rustic character but can be quite unpredictable. The speckle may vary around the pot and glaze can be substantially darker or lighter than shown. There may be colour or surface variations around the piece and there may be marks from making.
I do however only send items out that I would be happy to use myself, I often remake items before sending if I'm not happy with the finish.
