A hand thrown butter or cheese dome with a plate and decorated with a meadow flowers design. The design is hand painted so each one will be unique with differences in the greenery and flowers.
I paint my pottery with coloured slips which I mix myself from ball clay, metal oxides and ceramic stains . As well as regular sable paintbrushes I use primitive brushes which I make from splitting hazel twigs (often chewing them to achieve finer filaments!) and also use sponges, flower and seed heads to apply the design.
It is painted in coloured slips and finished in a food safe clear glaze.
It will hold a 250 gm block of butter.
Dishwasher safe.
