This decorative hand thrown small cup has a Light Sussex chicken chicken on the front against an apple green background with a turquoise interior. The size would make it suitable for coffee or as a first cup for a small child.
As all my work is hand painted each one is unique with variations in the positions of the chicken.
It is decorated with coloured slips and finished in a food safe clear glaze.
All my coloured slips (liquid clay) are applied manually, with a brush, and so variations in depth of colour will occur and occasionally reveal the the rich terracotta of the clay body beneath.
