This hand thrown two handled mug is decorated with a chicken and chick on both the back and front on a turquoise background. The inside is painted white.
Each mug is hand painted and the chickens will be in different positions.
It holds a generous 400 mls or three quarters of a pint of liquid.
The handles are comfortable to hold and would provide extra stability for people who have lost hand strength or have tremors.
It would also make a unique gift for a farmer or small holder.
It is painted in coloured slips and finished in a food safe clear glaze.
All my coloured slips (liquid clay) are applied manually, with a brush, and so variations in depth of colour will occur and occasionally reveal the the rich terracotta of the clay body beneath.
